Windows 10 updates failing to download

I haven't skipped any versions on any of my machines, but when I do an upgrade, I always run Lenovo Vantage and install any critical or recommended updates before the Windows upgrade and I run Vantage afterwards to see if anything shows up.

I keep receiving Hardware Not Compatable. I check the list and the Gen5 is OK. Some folks feel that the rule of thumb is that anything made before may not be compatible. Ya I have 40 gigs free, and just windows defender for antivirus. I've also tried using the media creator tool to do a fresh install via USB but it crashes about halfway through the usb creation process each time. You shouldn't even be seeing an upgrade to version like your screenshot says, it should be saying All the other updates even say Did you happen to upgrade your hard drive recently? I find the easiest way to reach it is simply type "troubleshoot" in the search box. Because I'm working on an older revision of Windows 10, the screen above is shown.
