S4, Ep5. Diane dreams that "Andy Andy" has escaped form a mental institution and is coming to kill her. But when she wakes from her nightmare, "Andy Andy" shows up at the bar to ask a favor.

The guys at the bar feel sorry for Carla because nobody has responded to her newspaper singles ad. So they start sending her romantic responses from a fictional airline pilot. S4, Ep8. Norm's neighbor tells him that she suspects that Vera is having an affair with her husband, and Sam must apologize for degrading Diane on a call-in radio show.
S4, Ep9. After suffering a humiliating loss to Gary's Olde Town Tavern in softball, the gang at Cheers challenges their rivals to a bowling tournament. S4, Ep Cliff bonds with his long-lost father until he learns the real reason why he came back to see him.
Meanwhile, Sam suspects that Diane intentionally sabotaged his date with a smart, cultured woman. Diane uses Sam as a case study for a paper in her Human Sexuality class, but she paints an unflattering picture of him.
Meanwhile, Woody challenges Carla to a sports trivia contest, and Cliff grows a unique squash. Sam donates his old Red Sox jersey for a public television auction, but is humiliated when nobody bids on it. Diane plays a prank on the guys in the bar, but she becomes paranoid as she waits for their inevitable payback. The guys of cheers try to lift Carla's spirits when she places a personal ad.
Norm hires a private investigator to find out if Vera is having an affair. Sam realizes his baseball days are history when no one bids on his jersey. Diane doesn't trust anyone when she's certain revenge is coming her way.
Cliff invites Diane and Carla to the annual ball and both unexpectedly accept. Sam Flips when Frasier wants to marry the first girl he dates after Lilith. Norm gets a tip at work the could guarantee his promotion over the competition. Sam and Diane reveal their true feelings for each other while on the verge of death.
Fraiser plans a pick-me-up party for Diane, but she thinks it was Sam's idea. Woody feels replaceable when an entertaining bartender overshadows him. Sam expresses interest in politics when he falls for a woman running for city council. Diane tries to make Sam's life miserable for pushing her out the door. Frasier returns to Cheers with news that Diane joined a convent.
